Summary: Supervises the activities and personnel of the Surveillance Department, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and an environment where flawless execution of asset protection is paramount, during assigned shift.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. College degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience in a casino Surveillance department is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Proficient with the use of personal computers.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensures that the daily surveillance operation is in compliance with the Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations and Internal Control Manual governing the department and reports any deficiencies to the Surveillance Manager.
Supervises and directs the operations and personnel of the Surveillance Department for designated shifts.
Obtains and provides briefing on previous shifts and on-going investigations.
Assigns surveillance operator duties, meal breaks and rest periods.
Conducts on the ''job Training'' on casino operations, gaming, equipment use and associated duties.
Checks equipment operations and reports faults.
Supervises the daily station log and maintains all incident reports and recorded evidence video tapes.
Maintains and updates logs, files and photographic records for assigned shift.
Completes daily shift supervisor''s reports for designated shifts.
Makes recommendations for promotions, terminations, and disciplinary action in conjunction with the Surveillance Manager.
Maintains a good working relationship with senior casino/hotel personnel and Indiana State Police personnel to the benefit of the property.
Assumes the duties of Surveillance Operator in their absence or if requirements deem it necessary.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours).
Must be able to respond to calmly and make rational decisions, when handling guest and employee conflicts.
Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor via stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalators.
Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property, including ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; and, the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, climb up and down stairs and ladders.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate computers, surveillance equipment and other related equipment.
Must be fluent and literate in English.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:__Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
