Summary:
The Technician Maintenance Interior is responsible for hands-on repairs to the physical plant to which he/ she is assigned under the direction of management staff.
Maintain appearance of interior and exterior walls, ceilings, furniture and equipment in like-new condition.
Assist other departmental personnel as required.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Repair and maintenance in the fields of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
Assist trade positions as needed.
Respond to radio trouble call requests.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs/ladders/scaffolding, maintaining equilibrium.
Ability to perceive sizes, shapes, temperatures, textures, odors; perceive depth and distance.
Assists other departmental employees as required.
Any other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
3 or more years previous repair and maintenance experience in the building trades required.
3 or more years in the hospitality or service industry preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license
Qualifications:
Skills and experience with the following:
Drywall and finishing Floor and wall coverings Trim work Basic plumbing Basic mechanical maintenance and repair Door installation Tile and grout installation Ceiling grid/suspended ceiling installation Wood or steel framing 3 or more years of the following skill sets:
Membrane roofing installation and repair EIFS Installation and repair Ability to work off of blueprints or drawings Ability to do layouts Ability to do all forms of trim work excluding crown moldings.
Ability to install countertops and cabinets.
Ability to perform advance phases of painting, wall covering, faux finishes, EIFS repair and installation.
Ability to refinish, re-cover, and do fabrications and modifications on all casino gaming tables and bases, devices, and slot machines.
Must possess basic reading skills and be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good interpersonal skills.
Team player.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, minimum of 4-6 hrs.
Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways (a minimum of 20 steps) or by escalator.
Responds to visual and aural cues.
Must be fluent and literate in English.
Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, twist, tear, cut, sort and reach.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
Must be able to work a varied schedule, holidays and weekends as requested.
