Summary: With a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude, provides prompt, courteous beverage service to all guests.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum one-year previous bartending skills with high volume sales required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a liquor license with the State of Indiana. Must have exceptional customer service skills, along with an upbeat and positive attitude and be able to perform in a fast pace environment. Excellent communication skills are required.
Essential Functions:
Attends Indiana State Alcohol Service training and receives certification for alcoholic beverage service.
Using accurate measurements prepares and serves drinks to guests as requested.
Registers beverage related transactions, handles cash, room charges and complimentary tickets according to procedures and guidelines established by management.
On an as needed basis, may work in the capacity of a beverage server, delivering drinks to the guests as ordered.
Completes assigned side work.
Communicates with Supervisor areas in need of special attention to better facilitate quality guest service.
Monitors environment and notifies a supervisor of guest intoxication.
Verifies Micros receipts ensuring accuracy.
Completes accurate daily reports/banks.
Keeps assigned areas neat and orderly.
Complies with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Other tasks and related job duties as assigned.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, 6 - 8 hours.
Responds to visual and aural cues.
Must be fluent and literate in English.
Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 30 lbs.
Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort, and reach.
Must be able to complete multiple requests, tasks, assignments under time constraints.
Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission. Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain an alcohol service permit from the State of Indiana.
